Achievements of the hybrid defense of Shahid Soleimani

War consists of defense and attack. Therefore, when it comes to hybrid war, this war includes both defense and attack, just like classical war. Combined defense has a nature corresponding to combined attack and should be done based on the joint action of all members and stakeholders of the society, from the government to the private sector and civil institutions. In combined defense, a comprehensive security plan should be implemented that includes all the key parts of the society in its planning and implementation. In this regard, the main goal of this article is to explain the doctrine of combined defense in the strategy and performance of Shahid Soleimani and its achievements for the Islamic Republic of Iran at different levels. The type of research is applied and it has been carried out in a systematic qualitative manner using the historical method and content analysis, the method of collecting documentary and library data and interviewing 20 experts. The findings of the research show that Lieutenant General Hajj Qassem Soleimani was one of the prominent strategists of combined defense because he combined three strategies: firstly, the destruction of terrorism and ISIS, secondly, maintaining a unified front of resistance and thirdly, locking the US exit from the western region. Asia. Based on the research results, on the one hand, the combined defense has turned the "balance of power" into a "balance of resistance" and on the other hand, it has caused the formation of "integrated geography of resistance" at the regional and world level. Martyr Soleimani's combined defense against American excesses has been in the framework of: "a broad look at the geography of resistance", "a broad cross-border look", "not being satisfied with our own region" and "extending strategic depth" and extending it to the region and the world.
