Identifying the requirements and considerations for locating the air-police base in the border areas (case study: Aras border area)

One of the important requirements in creating and strengthening the air infrastructure in Farajah is the location and construction of airports and air bases. Considering the strategic location of the northwestern borders of the country in the neighborhood of the two countries of Azerbaijan and Armenia and the absence of a law enforcement air base in this region, the present research was conducted with the aim of identifying the requirements and considerations for the location of an air-law enforcement base in the Aras border region.

The current research is analytical-comparative and to identify and understand the spatial patterns of air-police base location, graphic statistical models based on ArcGIS software environment were used. The statistical population of the research in order to identify the necessary requirements and considerations in connection with the location of the military airport, all the sources of internal and external researches and documents in the field of research in the period of 1385 to 1402. The participants in the current research were 10 military and law enforcement experts with opinions in the relevant field. Hierarchical analysis method was used to analyze the data. A paired comparison questionnaire was used to weight the criteria according to the local conditions of the region and the existing standards.
