Prediction of Math Performance based on Self-Regulation Strategies in First Secondary Students of Saveh City
One of the most important factors that can affect thequality of learning, self-regulation learning strategies play animportant role in the quality of learning. The present study wascarried out with the aim of predicting math performance based onself-regulation strategies in first secondary students of Saveh city.
The self-report forms (student), parent,and teacher of self-regulated learning strategies questionnaire(SRSI) named SRSI-SR, SRSI-PRS, and SRSI-TRS wereimplemented in the first secondary level students of Saveh city. Forthis purpose, after translating and preparing the mentionedquestionnaires, SRSI-SR and SRSI-PRS questionnaires were sent to1480 students and their parents via email. After one month passedand reminder emails were sent, 785 SRSI-SR questionnaires, 753SRSI-PRS questionnaires and 197 SRSI-TRS questionnaires werereturned. After removing incomplete questionnaires, the number ofSRSI-SR and SRSI-PRS questionnaires was reduced to 610questionnaires and entered into the analysis.
The questionnaires completed by the teachers had nodefects and all 197 questionnaires were included in the analysis.
The results showed that all three self-administered,parent, and teacher questionnaires had strong predictive andexplanatory power in relation to students' math performance.
