Abstract:
Soil erosion is inevitable phenomenon that seriously threatens soil and water resources; and is a function of several factors, which are based on certain conditions of each region; one or more agents may be effective in its intensifications. So the study of soil erosion, assessment of variables, and affective parameters is essential. In the method study of a library-based research studies, the field, and the use of quantitative models to estimate erosion and sediment, ARC GIS software is used. Considering that in soil erosion, several parameters systematically are effective and recognizing them as affecting factors on the rate of erosion and sediment is very important. So among the various methods of estimating erosion and sediment, EPM method is used as a selected techniques and Environmental Parameters in its model due to conforming weather condition in Iran. The result suggests that the study basin of severity of erosion is in class four –the low erosion-. The rate of total erosion and sediment of basin is respectively estimated by 239997.68 and 206396.3 cubic meters per year.
