An Evaluation Hypnotherapy Efficacy In The Treatment of Chronic Tension Headache

The present research was carried out with aim of evaluating the efficacy of hypnotherapy in the treatment of chronic tension headache and its effect on patients anxiety using a single –case design. for this Purpose three patients suffering from tension headache were selected from those who where referred to a neurologist office, and their baseline was established through the visual- analogue scale, bech anxiety inventory. then the first case under went nin sessions of hypnotherapy one week After the baseline and the second case two week after the baseling and the third case three weeks after the baseline. evaluation of intervention effects was done at the end of each session through the research instruments. the results indicated that compared to the baseline internsity of headache and anxiety three patients showed considerable reduction in all measures fallowing the intervention. these changes were sustained at one-month fllow –up.
