Concept Development of Industry-University Collaboration: From Practical-oriented to the Structural-Oriented Methods

Industry and university collaboration with respect to its effects on the knowledge-based and sustainable development process is one of the main challenging subjects considered by all clear sighted, especially statesmen in previous decades. Review of several strategies presents practical oriented opinions that disseminate collaboration as an immediate effect development facilitator and finally lead to practical methods with short time precipitate recommendations. These methods, especially in the developed countries expanded in industrial revolution era and unfortunately, today, without any notice to geo-strategically considerations are persuaded by some of the less developed countries. After industrial revolution era, revisions on expired methods led to new structural oriented methods of collaboration with a view to obligations based on the subtle structural analyzing and with respect to the effects of other related organizations. In this paper, after enumeration of limitation and emphasis on complexity of this process, first we stress on the unsuccessful results of practical based methods in Iran and, after structural defect analyzing of industry-university collaboration, we propose a structural-oriented methods which is adaptable solution for our country.
