Monotheistic Morality and Its Role in Motivating Man

This article deals with conceptual explanation of two expressions, i.e. "monotheistic morality" and "motivation" and some selected principles. It then states the role of monotheistic morality in three sections, pointing out the role of monotheistic morality in motivation. These sections are as follows: 1) the role of monotheistic morality in survival motive; 2) the role of monotheistic morality in perfection motive and the secondary motives including: a) curiosity motive; b) seeking truth motive; c) autonomy motive; d) power motive. 3) The role of monotheistic morality in the pleasure motive and satisfying vital needs and its secondary motives including: 1) sustenance motive; 2) sexual motive; 3) needing clothes and housing; 4) needing vehicle; 5) the aesthetic motive; 6) materialistic motive.What is sought in this research is studying the role of monotheistic morality (based on AllamaTabatabaie's explanations in Tafsir al-Mizan) in general structure of human needs and motives based on AyatullahMesbah's psychological views.
