Investigating People's Attitudes towards Political Parties in Iran

The present article is based on a study carried out in IRIB Research Center in 2008. It aims at investigating the level of individuals’ political knowledge and inclination towards political parties and groups in Iran. The findings revealed that:-More than 58 percent of people in Iran gain their knowledge of political parties and groups’ performance and programs via IRIB.-People’s attitudes towards political parties is affected by their function. so that, on the one hand, 56 percent of people consider parties as an enhancing element in their own knowledge, and one the other hand, 56.3 percent of the respondents maintained that parties follow their own interests.-76.8 percent of people believe that the positive performance of parties contributes to their growth.
