Abstract:

main purpose of this study is the effect of shyness on academic achievement for English language student of university in English language class.the population of this study was all boy students of university participated in English language class in Sirjan city. Out of The society, 50 person selected for sample. Measurement tools in this research were shyness questionnaire to encountered of reliability and validity, Academic achievement English language measurement by the scores that the students took at the end of term. The results showed 40% student of university participated in English language class were shy. Data analyse with correlation way showed there is significant relation between achievement score in English language and shyness and interested in English language The results of regression test showed that it’s possible to predict of predictor variable shyness score (with ninety nine confidence) criterion variable (academic achievement in English language) the model is as follows: Academic achievement in English language=33.669+0.497 shyne
