An Alternative Strategy to Economic Development of Iran: Domestic Markets approach

Abstract:
After Second World War era has included the introduction of different economic development strategies that their aim was rescue of poor economies from poverty, illiteracy, hunger and so on. Those prominent strategies were agriculture-based approach, expansion of heavy industries, import substitution and export promotion. Each country adopted one of these strategies whereon various outcomes were resulted.Considering flaws of development strategies, it is seemed that a new strategy on the basis of domestic markets and consistent to economy of Iran is necessary. The new strategy has several facets which are the expansion of domestic demand and supply, improving domestic competition, creation of new domestic markets and expansion of labor-intensive industries. Realization of these items requires making special framework which its important features are consideration to income distribution and core-planning.
