Organizational Spirituality and Commitment
Organizational approach as culture is approximately new idea. For long years, from different aspects, organization was supposed as an intellectual tool that would become possible through coordination and group control. Organization would be studied as a hierarchical structure with different levels, but organizations are more than structural features, and they have other features too. They have personality like a person. They may be hard or flexible, protective or unfriendly, innovative or conservative. “In new approach to organization, organizational culture and management has a special place. Beside concentrating on organization as an entity which has goal oriented structure, separate duties, information systems and decision making process and groups, organization culture provides different focuses for organizational studies.Nowadays, Ethics and spirituality of staffs in organization are too important problems for managers and organizations. In the past, people thought that physical existence of staffs in workplace is enough and spirituality is not needed. But today, people like to be at work with all 3 dimensions of themselves: physical, mental, and spiritual. And separating their work from their spiritual life causes reduction in their work moral and these two dimensions are importable in practice.The result of researches, either in east or west, shows that understandings of staffs from spirituality cause induction in their job commitment in workplace. Because commitment is one of the main elements, and people with job commitment are more hard workers than carefree people.
