A Survey on Iranian high school curriculum structure from the viewpoints of faculty members and curriculum specialists in order to present a suitable model for development of creativity among students.

Abstract:
The purpose of present research was to investigate educational curriculum planning structure for high school level in Iran regarding the level of attention to innovation elements from educational planning professors and specialists’ viewpoints, in order to design guiding patterns for innovation centered curriculum to apply in high school curriculum, based on the level of attention and regarding innovation elements, and in other words the weaknesses and strong points concerning paying attention to innovation and creativity in curriculum. The research is a contextual study whose statistical population consisted all professors and specialists of curriculum numbered 104 individuals, 92 of which were selected after determination of sample volume using Morgan table. The instrument for data collection was researcher designed questionnaire that was used after determination of perpetuity and justifiability. In analyzing the data, using SPSS software in descriptive statistics stage. Mean and standard deviation, as well as T test, Levine test and Duncan test were used to analyze data. Our findings suggest that from specialists and experts’ points of view, application of creative approaches and methods (developing cognitive processes, student-oriented approaches, social human and humanism) in high school curriculum tends to be inefficient and low. Also, the rate of considering creativity elements from different personal, collective and organizational elements tends to be low; but the level of application of approaches and spiritual centered orientations, subject centeredness tend to be high and the approaches such as transferring cultural heritage and competence centeredness tend to be in average and low level.
