Defense - Security Considerations in I. R. Iran's Spatial Planning

Defense is one of the main concerns of all governments. In a word, against the threats aiming their power and security indicators, countries are trying to achieve mechanisms to improve their defense power and be capable of repelling the threats.Spatial planning is one of the methods, which states put at their agenda for achieving a more secure situation and decreasing vulnerability in case of any probable attack.In this article, after providing theoretical debates about spatial planning and expressing its background in Iran, the importance of paying attention to defense- security considerations resulting from spatial planning in national planning is described.
