The Analysis of Relation Between Religious Beliefs and Different Aspects of Spiritual Nostalgia (Case Study: Non- Native Students of Yazd University)

The present study analyses the relationship between religious beliefs and different aspects of spiritual nostalgia among Yazd university students (living in dormitory). The statistical community of this study included 100 mail students and 150 females. Data were analyzed by using questionnaire and results were analyzed by using spss software. These finding proved a meaningful and negative relationship between religious beliefs and spiritual nostalgia. In addition there is a meaningful relationship between religious beliefs and different aspects of spiritual nostalgia، which are included: homesickness for family – desire to return hometown –acclimatization-languishment-to feel homesick for relatives and habited environment. The article also proves no meaningful relationship between loneliness and religious beliefs. The results of the study also prove that some factors such as gender، marriage and education will have an adapter role in relation between religious beliefs and spiritual nostalgia. We have to mention two major steps to prevent and heal the spiritual nostalgia among university students: 1- Cultural measures such as religious conferences and meetings، distributing useful books and catalogues in universities. 2- Preparing a suitable environment by performing regular mass prayers، holly Koran and prayers gatherings and trips among university students.
