A Critique of the Sub-Topics and sub-Headings of the Research Articles in Arabic Language and Literature Journals

This article provides a critique of the sub-topics and sub-headings in the articles related to Arabic language and literature published in Iranian research journals, and examines the correspondence of these topics and headings with the new scientific and scholarly findings.The results of the study shows that choosing sub-topics and organizing subheadings in research articles rsquires much experience and many skills. So, many of the articles on Arabic language and literature suffer from methodological and qualitative flaws and deficiencies. This is because of neglect or ignorance of authors of the bases and criteria for choosing sub-topics and using proper sub-headings.The most important flaws include lack of necessary sub-topic, absence of sub-headings, absence of introductory information and concluding remarks, repetitive or cliché sub-headings, redundant sub-topic, repetition of the main title as sub-heading, vagu and overly long sub-headings, messy organization, and, finally, mismatch of the sud-headings and the main topic of the article.
