Abstract:
The present research tries to study cognitive errors as a foundation of individual's feeling that have great effect on behavior. Studying the types of cognitive errors and grounds of their growth prevents the emergence of undesirable behavior resulting from negative thoughts. The research uses an analytical method based on religious principles derived from Quranic verses, traditions, and psychological and educational data. The research findings show that positive view of behavior and its human motives is a very important factor in preventing us from committing cognitive errors when encountering others. This is greatly emphasized in religious texts. Cognitive errors mostly result from uncertain guessing based on wrong ways of thinking. A person with intellectual error always bases his/her view of the behavior of others on guessing and describes them as something unreal and negative, though he/she believes that his/her guessing is true. It is necessary to make a study of the process of mind reading in order to find out how to understand other's thoughts and see what evidence can to prove that our guessing is consistent with reality.
