Epistemic Factors Affecting Coverage of Islamic Veiling (Hijab) (Case Study: Marvdasht Islamic Azad University)

This study aims to investigate the epistemic factors affecting coverage of Islamic veiling (hijab) among students of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University. The research method is survey descriptive. The results of the survey indicate: 88/4% university students believes in Islamic veiling and 79/4% believes that Islamic veiling of parents and social religious patterns are effective. 62/2% of university members believe that marriage is an effective factor in considering Islamic coverage. The effectiveness of obligations by law enforcement agents in developing Islamic veiling is only 21/6% on the other hand only 55% of university students pay little attention to Islamic veiling. The results of analyzing the hypotheses indicate a significant relationship between Islamic veiling in university and students knowledge about subject, family pattern, the methods used by law enforcement agents, obligation or freedom in selecting type and model of coverage of Islamic dress in university. The author of the article concludes that the knowledge based factors affecting Islamic veiling is derived from theological teachings and Islamic ideology in Iranian Islamic society and families are all affective on Islamic hijab(veiling) and surveillance factors in universities has the minimum rule in regarding the Islamic hijab.
