Assessment therapeutic impacts of dehydroepiandrosterone before assisted reproductive therapeutic procedures on pregnancy rate in infertile women with poor ovarian response

Dehydroepiandrostenedione is used for ART methods in women with poor ovarian response. The present study had been performed for assessment therapeutic impacts of DHEA before ART therapeutic procedures on pregnancy rate in infertile women with poor ovarian response.
In the present double-blinded randomized clinical trial, 120 infertile women with poor ovarian responses in ART procedures were included. Study participants randomly allocated into the trial and control groups. In the trial group, 60 women received DHEA for 1.5 months and in the control group, 60 matched women received placebo during the study. Same ART procedures were performed for both groups after passing study time. Beta-HCG was checked for infertile women two weeks after ART procedure, and two weeks later sonography was performed for assessing number of pregnancy sacs.
Finally, six pregnancies had been performed in the study. There was a significant difference between pregnancy rates between two study groups.
ž DHEA usage in the trial group can cause increase in pregnancy rate among women with poor ovarian response.
