The Security Geography of Iran - Afghanistan Border and its Implications for Iran's National Security

Today, monitoring the security situation of Afghanistan and Iran borders at is important for country. In this context, we examined the the region issues and hurdles that affecting on national security including border and with a view the geography of security with elements of cultural, political, economic, social, military, scientific and technical. In this context, the geography of the security components were analyzed with analytical - descriptive method by using of questionnaires in a population of 50 people and open and closed questions. Based on the results, influential component of border security geography of Iran and Afghanistan on national security is military factor with "Iran's security status" as sub-component and political factor with "the domination of central government on region border's as sub-component and they are followed by economic factors "employment of the inhabitants of the region" as sub-component and social factors "drug trafficking" as sub-component and cultural factors "ethnic and religious sectarianism in Afghanistan" as sub-component and there are less effective such as environmental components with "drought border areas" and " science and technology " as sub-component.
