The Relationship Between Political Culture and Security in the Shahnameh

Political culture, which means the mental orientation of the nations, social groups or individuals toward the politics, is one of the most important problems of today's world, and a clear understanding of it, could be one of the key requirements for the development of people's behavior towards the political system, and consequently provides the social security.Exploring the political culture is a part of the political thinking of a nation, which has a direct impact on national security. Since the literature of every nation provides a clear picture of the cultural, social and political conditions of that nation, it is considered as one of the primary sources, at different ages.This cross-sectional study, aimed to investigate the relationship between political culture and security in the Shahnameh. Therefore, this study focusing on the perspective of "Almond and Verba '(Limited, follower, and participatory political culture) begins with the question, that Whether the political culture raised in Shahnameh, has the ability to supply and strengthen Iran's social needs, in the area of understanding the political culture and strengthen the national security, and what kind of segmentation of " Almond and Verba ", is reflected in Shahnameh.First of all the research hypotheses were developed. Then, the data was collected using the library method, and then analyzed using qualitative analysis (inductive reasoning).The findings of this study showed that, although the limited political culture is mentioned in Shahnameh, but there is a compilation of "follower and participatory political culture" in Shahnameh, which is based on the factors such as religiosity, justice, wisdom and divine sources. And This type of political culture could ensure public safety;Therefore, the political culture raised in Shahnameh, is able to analyze and strengthen the security needs of the Islamic republic of Iran.
