Effect of 4-week intensive interval training combined with taking Q01 coenzyme on young basketball players’ aerobic and anaerobic strength

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 2-week intensive interval training combined with taking Q11 coenzyme on young basketball players’ aerobic and anaerobic strength. For this purpose, twenty young basketball players aged 21 to 22 years old were selected and randomly divided into two groups of 11 subjects receiving placebo (BMI 22/1221/11 kg/m2), supplement (BMI 22/1221/52 kg/m2). the subjects before and after the training period, RAST test (for the calculation of average ability anaerobic) and Cooper (to estimate the maximum oxygen consumption) was conducted. subjects three times a week to run their basketball practice and intensity interval training. Dose of coenzyme Q11 supplementation without knowing the contents of the capsule (double-blind) for 31 days, about 2/2 mg per kg of body weight per day. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 21, with a significance level of P<1/12. The results showed no significant difference between in VO2max values before and after 2 weeks of interval training with taking placebo and supplement groups (p>1/12). Also no significant difference was found between placebo and supplement maximum power values and fatigue index before and after 2 weeks of interval training(p>1/12). It seems, the intensive interval training can improve aerobic and anaerobic capacity, but taking Q11 coenzyme along with interval training can have tangible impact on improving aerobic and anaerobic indicators.
