Evaluation of tourism climate conditions of selected cities of Isfahan province based on tourism climate indices

Abstract:

Today, the tourism industry is influenced by several factors, one of the most important parameters of the tourism climate. Climate and tourism are closely linked so that the climate affects the environmental resources, the duration and quality of tourism, the health of tourists, the personal experiences of tourists, and the choice and the decision to travel. Various indicators have been presented to study the status of the tourism climate. The purpose of this study was to assess the climate conditions and characteristics in the development of tourism processes in Isfahan province, which examined the tourism climate indices for the years 2009 to 2013. The results obtained from climate models and comparison of results with the actual climate of Isfahan show that TCI, PET and PMW indices have better explanatory power than Baker. The results show that the fluctuations of the city of Isfahan were different in different months of the year. Based on the calculations made in each of the five stations, the April, May, September and October months showed the highest numerical values of the TCI Index of Isfahan, which have ideal conditions. According to the Baker index, the May, April, September and October months are airy and mild, and people with normal wear and tear are comfortable, and on PET and PMW indicators, the comfort conditions for tourists are provided in September. In fact, it can be admitted that most of the methods considered September to be the best month in terms of comfort that humans feel comfortable in this month, and in the months of January, February and December, which are cold months, the climate of the province is affected by climatic systems, which are unfavorable conditions in this There are months and humans do not feel over the course of these months.
