Predicting the Impact of Professional Development of University Staff on Their Social Responsibility(Case Study: Isfahan University)
Today, social responsibility has become an important concept globally, and responsible human resources are one of the scarce resources for organizations and an important and controversial part of globalization and sustainable competition as it is today. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of professional development of Isfahan University staff on their social responsibility. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of data collection is descriptive - correlational. The statistical population consisted of all staff of Isfahan University, from which 234 persons were selected by stratified random sampling. Reliability was obtained as 0.81 and 0.83, respectively. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation test and stepwise regression in Spss24 software. Findings confirmed the impact of professional development components (self-development, professional identity, professional dialogue & communications, professional knowledge & skills & digital capacities) on Social Responsibility. The component of professional identity had the most impact and the component of digital capacity had the least impact on social responsibility. These findings suggest that attention to the dimensions of professional development in universities can have a positive impact on the social responsibility of staff.
