Analysis of Course Curriculum of Current Trends of Knowledge and Information Science in Iran( Public Library Studies, Academic Libraries Managing and, Digital Library Management
The purpose of this study is to study the master's degree curriculum in three areas: "Public Library Studies," "Managing Academic Libraries," and "Digital Library Management" in citation.
This research is an applied research using the "content analysis" method.
The data showed that 525 sources have been introduced for all trends. The sources consist of 443 books, 79 papers and 3 theses (297 Persian and 228 foreign sources). The most Persian sources have been suggested for the trend of "managing Academic libraries" and the most foreign resources for the trend of "managing digital libraries", respectively. 52% of the books are listed in Z category. Then, categories of H and Q ranked most closely with the field of librarianship. The most frequent resources were also for the common headline of the "Library and Information Science Fundamentals".
Among the results, it can be cited to present the repetitious headlines and resources, to provide suggested resources from the works of the pioneers for the basic titles and the updated works of the young writers for the new headlines.
