The Identification and Prioritization of the Components of IRI’s Military Power and Authority in Managing West Asian Crises from the Views of the Iranian Military Senior Commanders in Kerman Province

This research is intended to identify and prioritize the components of the Islamic Republic of Iran's military power and authority in the management of the crises in the West Asia from the views of the senior military commanders in Kerman province. The applied research is descriptive and follows survey method. The statistical population of the study includes senior military commanders in Kerman province containing15 people. The entire statistical population is selected to be studied in this research. Data collection tool is a paired comparisons questionnaire. In order to prioritize the components of military power and authority, the sign test, one of the tests of the nonparametric hypothesis, was employed. In the next phase, on the basis of the identified indicators and making use of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) questionnaire, the factors influencing the evaluation were prioritized. SPSS software was applied for data analysis and testing the hypotheses. Furthermore, Expert Choice software was used to weight and prioritize the identified effective factors. The results indicated that seven factors affect the military power and authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the controlling West Asian crises. Optimizing these components may increase the military power and authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Specialized and faithful manpower was the most important component with a total weight of 0.124, and the most important criterion was having a strong command system.
