Among various components of health system, hospital services are the main cause of increasing expenditures in many countries. Intensive care units have the important role in hospital. Because critical care beds are one the most expensive hospital equipment, obviously a large part of hospital budget is allocated to them.
Discussion and Conclusion:
Shortage of intensive care beds is one of the key challenges of health system that needs necessary measures to provide more beds. A large part of health system budget goes to critical care units, but by reasonable planning it is possible to reduce the need for overusing these beds and in this way we can save the budget and improve the whole economy.
