Comparison of the effect of Traditional Resistance training and Crossfit resistance training on Fat free mass index (FFMI) and Fat mass index (FMI) in overweight and obese adult Females
Introduction and goal:
The purpose of this study was to compare two types of traditional resistance training and crossfit resistance training on Fat free mass index and fat mass index of overweight and obese women.
This semi-experimental study, with pre-test and post-test, included 30 women with overweight and obesity with a mean age of 27 ± 2 years who were divided into two groups by purposeful sampling.
After analyzing the data and statistical tests of the research hypotheses, the results showed that the effect of the protocol of crossfit resistance training versus the traditional resistance training protocol on the Fat free mass index of adult women with overweight and obese was not significant (P ≤ 0.31 ) The effect of the crossfit resistance training protocol on traditional resistace training protocols on fat mass index of overweight and obese women was significant (P ≤ 0.01).
Discussion and
