Innovation Climate and Employee Creativity, Entrepreneurial Orientation and Intrapreneurship: A Model for Defining the Role of Transformational Leadership
The purpose of this research is to focus on transformational leadership (TL) considering its interaction with employee creativity (EC), innovation climate (INC), entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and intrapreneurship (IN), based on employee perception in Civil Aviation industry.
This study is an applied research and a descriptive-correlation research. The Statistical population of the research is all experts and managers of ATA Airlines with at least bachelor degrees (N=700). To determine sample size, Morgan Table is used (n=248). A prescribed questionnaire is used for data collection. To measure the questionnaire validity, formal and content validity and confirmatory factor analysis are used while Cornbrash’s alpha is utilized to measure the reliability. For data analysis, structural equation model and PLS software is used.
TL on INC and INC on EC have a significant effect and INC has a mediating role on the relationship between TL and EC. EC on IN and EO on IN have a significant effect and TL has a moderating role on the relationship between EO and IN.
Considering the positive effect of transformational leadership on creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, competencies of transformational leadership should be considered in staff selection.
