Identifying Effective Components and Dimensions on Improving Service-Oriented University (Qualitative Analysis of Higher Education Experts’ Point of View)
The service-oriented approach is a type of strategy based on satisfying the need of society which therefore stresses the processes such as the link between research and business worlds, introducing the existing talent of the university and spreading knowledge in society.
In order to collect data, a semi-structured interview technique was used as a research method to analyze contents in the study. Sampling data was randomized through coding and analyzing contents. A sample of 15 people of experts and intelects of higher education system was randomly selected in a talented way based on the "theoretical saturation principle".
The results indicated that the main components of the promotion of the service-oriented university contains: man power, responsiveness and transparency, means of service, maintaining academic independence, flexible structure, democratization, leadership and university management, standardization and needs assessment, establishment of service quality regulation, technology development and innovation.
The aim of the study was that the above mentioned categories could provide an effective foundation to improve service-oriented university in order to achieve favorable conditions, given the unfavorable status of academic activities in the countrychr('39')s higher education system.
