A Meta-Analysis of The Effectiveness of Psychological Interventions on Students’ Self-Concept
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of psychological interventions on students’ self-concept based on studies in Iran from 1390-1397. The method of this study was meta-analysis. The statistical population included all related studies in the country from 1390-1397 which were available in Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, Noormags, SID, Magiran, and Irandocs databases. For collecting data, a checklist was used. After checking the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 20 effect sizes were computed from 18 studies. The comprehensive meta-analysis software (CMA-2) was used to analyze the collected data. In this regard, a Funnel plot, Egger's linear regression method, Rosenthal's fail-safe N and Q test were used to investigate the meta-analysis assumptions. The calculated combined effect size based on the random model was 1.526, which indicates the positive effect of interventions. According to the findings, it can be concluded that psychological interventions have improving effects on students' self-concept.
