Abstract:
There are the roads in the country that due to very high traffic caused by various factors have a high accident rate. Obviously, one of these roads is Shahroud – Sabzevar route that due to being the two middle- sized cities in destination and origin, existence of a lot of villages between these two cities, and also the role of this road as a connecting the great city of Tehran to mashhad has a high traffic, The purpose of this research is to analyze the spatial accident – prone areas on the road between Shahroud and Sabzevar (up to Kahak village in sabzevar). The research is an applied one in which a combination of methods, including descriptive, analytical methods have been used. The results of the research show that the accident rate has decreased during 1390 to 1394 and the most accidents happened in 1391. According to the results of the spatial statistical carried out on the position of the occurred accidents, the accident-prone areas have been determined
