Effect of Organizational Citizenship Behavior on User Satisfaction at the Regional Information Center for Information Science and Technology: The Mediating Role of Leader-Member exchange and Perceived Supervisor Support
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of organizational citizenship behavior on user satisfaction with the Mediating Role of leader- member exchange and perceived supervisor support.
The research method is descriptive correlational study. Data collection tools were 4 organizational citizenship behavior questionnaires (24 items), member exchange (7 items), perceived supervisor support (16 items), and user satisfaction questionnaire (20 items). The research population included librarians at Regional Information and Science Information Center (120) and users (100) who were randomly selected at one month's return. The Data analysis methods were regression analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling.
The results showed that conscientiousness variables (β = 0.331) and sportsmanship (β = 0.200) had the most direct effect on users’ satisfaction against civic virtue (β = 0.215), courtesy (β = 0.68), and altruism (β = 154). The results also showed that these variables have an indirect effect on users' satisfaction.
Findings of the research proved that organizational citizenship behavior affects users’ satisfaction by considering the mediator role of leader- member exchange and supervised perceived support among librarians and users of the regional center for information science and technology.
