Place of Knowledge and information Science in the tree of knowledge

Abstract:

The present study aims to investigate KIS among the knowledge systems and how to putting it in the tree of knowledge.

Methodology

This research is divided into two parts, library and survey. In the library part, the concept of science, philosophy of science and philosophy of information science and classification and separation factors of science were presented. In the survey part, firstly the universities from United States, Great Britain, South Africa and Iran, then five public database were selected were studied.

Finding

The results showed that in most colleges knowledge and information science in the College of Education were Overall result show that knowledge and information science appointed to the humanities and social sciences class and under the group of Social sciences or Humanities.

Originality: 

Knowledge of the world's land territory and only by knowing and having the appropriate status among of science that a possible majors excellence and achieve its desired position.
