The Role of Individual Factors and Leadership Style on Scholarly Communication of Faculty Members: A mixed method study
The purpose of the present study was to identify the individual factors and leadership style on scholarly communication of faculty members of Iranian universities
The present research study was a Follow-up Explanations Model. The statistical population included faculty members of various universities located in provinces of Iran. According to Krejcie and Morgan Table (1970) and based on stratified sampling 378 faculty members were selected as the participants. For the qualitative method of research, 16 faculty member holding Ph.D. who were chosen based on purposeful sampling participated in the study. Data analysis was based on a semi standardized interview. To analysis the data content analysis were carried out using deductive.
Research findings showed that, variables of personality features, stylistic factors, organizational conflict, and leadership style can meaningfully define the variance of scholarly communication. The result of the qualitative and quantitative output of approval subcategories and factors affecting scholarly communication contained 4 subplot and conception was 33.
Overall, the findings indicated the diriect effect of most of the variables related to the content factors on the scholarly communication.
