Some overlooked similarities between Jesus (pbuh) and Mary (pbuh) in the Qur’an
The present article is a translation of the article “Jesus and Mary in the Qur’an: Some Ignored Similarities” by Neil Robinson, a British Qur’anic scholar and Orientalist who methodically uses literary and linguistic topics in Qur’anic subjects. In the third and fourth sections, he draws on the Qur’an and the Islamic tradition (hadith) to show that both Aisha and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) have something in common with Maryam (pbuh). In the final part, Robinson states that the Qur’anic story of Jesus and Mary acknowledges the mission of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
