Estimation of ways to increase soft power in Iran and Turkey acting in Syria and Iraq

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to estimate the methods of increasing soft power in the acting of Iran and Turkey in Syria and Iraq. For this purpose, qualitative research (basic theory) was used. The statistical population includes all professors of political science, 20 of whom were interviewed. In this study, purposive sampling method was used to select the first person and snowball technique was used to select the next people. In the analysis of the findings, first, by reviewing and revising the text of the interviews, meaningful concepts and phrases were extracted, then, by analyzing and coding these concepts and phrases, the main categories were extracted. The results showed that two broad categories including convergence with global norms and responsible performance were identified internationally and five sub-categories are: geographical and strategic location, history and cultural attractions, religion and ideology, peaceful coexistence, and presence in assemblies. international. Each of these subcategories, or components of its soft power, contains items called prominent open source.
