Abstract:
Introduction

Aerobic and resistance training have different effects on the characteristics of the cardiovascular system. The aim of this study was to the role of exercise order in increasing the beneficial effects of combined (aerobic and resistant) training on arterial stiffness in prehypertensive young men.

Material and Methods

Twenty male participants with pre-hypertensive levels in the age range of 30-45 years were available in 3 groups: control (Cl; n = 5), aerobic-resistance combination (ART; n = 7) and resistance-aerobic combination ( RAT = 8) performed 8 weeks of combined training protocol. The aerobic part of the training consisted of 20 minutes of activity on a treadmill or bicycle with an intensity of 89-60% of the reserve heart rate (HRR) and the resistance part consisted of working with weights with 84-70% of a maximum repetition (1RM). Arterial stiffness was measured using pulse wave-pulse index (PWV). Statistical comparisons were performed using paired t-test and analysis of covariance.

Results

Intragroup results showed that exercise in both experimental groups caused a significant reduction in arterial stiffness, but in comparison between the groups, only the RT sequence was significantly different from the control groups (P = 0.008) and AR (P = 0.137). ) And the differences between the two groups CL and AR (P = 0.330) were non-significant (P <0.01) and Yang schema therapy was effective only in emotional regulation (P <0.01). The results also showed that there was a significant difference between the effectiveness of the native schema therapy package and Young's schema therapy on reducing the desire for divorce at the level of P <0.01, but there was no significant difference between the effectiveness of these two methods on improving emotional regulation (P <0.01).

Conclusion

It is suggested that combined exercise with resistance-aerobic sequence be performed so that individuals can enjoy the benefits of reducing the risks of cardiovascular disease.
