Developing an entrepreneurial opportunity window model and its impact on the organizational agility of the automotive industry
Organizational agility is the ability to discover and take advantage of entrepreneurial opportunities in changing markets. On the other hand, entrepreneurial opportunities have a special time frame and after this time, they lose their usefulness. This research is of mixed type and the researcher in the qualitative part has designed the opportunity window pattern using the meta-synthesis method and in the quantitative part designed to test the pattern and examine the effect of the opportunity window model on organizational agility of structural equation modeling and factor analysis. In the qualitative part, the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) method has been used to evaluate the quality of the articles and the kappa method has been used to measure the validity of the extracted codes. Its value is /65.In the quantitative part of the questionnaire, it was approved by experts and Cronbach's alpha was used to assess its reliability. Also, to check the validity of the model, good fit indices such as GFI, CFI, RMSEA have been used, all of which are approved. The statistical population in the qualitative part consists of articles, books and research reports from 1956 to 2019 and in the quantitative part includes managers, experts and elites of the automotive industry in 1398 Sampling in the qualitative part was based on theoretical saturation and based on the method of Sandlowski and Barso 28 researches were selected to perform the meta-synthesis steps.
Findings showed that the entrepreneurial opportunity window model has 8 main components (economic changes, market and industry changes, social and cultural changes, technology changes, political and legal changes, market defects, new knowledge and demographic changes) and 24 sub-components. And its relationship with organizational agility is significant.
Managers and supervisors of car companies can use the opportunities to create entrepreneurship and ultimately create agility in the company by recognizing the signs and symptoms of the opening of opportunity windows.
