The efficiency of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the crisis of legitimacy

The system of the Islamic Republic of Iran was established after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1978. This system has faced challenges in the field of legitimacy and the main question of this article has been the efficiency of the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran in resolving the crisis of legitimacy. How to deal with this crisis and the measures that the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken so far to prevent or overcome the crisis of legitimacy is the central issue of this article. The hypothesis of this research shows the success of the Islamic Republic in preparing the infrastructure of legitimacy (legitimacy and legality) and the superstructure of legitimacy (acceptability and efficiency) and has followed the process of resolving the crisis of legitimacy through four means (legitimacy, legality, acceptability and efficiency) which is a new research in this regard. The theoretical framework of this research is the theory of political crises, which has been followed by understanding and inferring from valid scientific texts and documents with a qualitative method of interpretive type. The findings of this research show the efficiency of the Islamic Republic of Iran in resolving the crisis of legitimacy, especially in the prepared infrastructure (legitimacy and legality) and the restoration of its infrastructure (acceptability and efficiency) in the Islamic Republic of Iran and it has checked the process of resolving them through the four columns (legitimacy, legality, acceptability, and efficiency) to provide ways of legitimacy.
