Design and Image in Nima Yooshij's Poetry

The  literary  term  “motif”  is  the  subject  matter,  image, plot  and  literary pattern of a literary work which enhances the aesthetic attraction of the work. It may also emerge as a symbol of its content or an experience in a literary work. Motif in the recent studies of literary criticism is a good indicator of the writer’s and the poet’s mind. Motifs in artistic and literary works are well-developed and well-crafted.  Persian  language  and  literature  is  one of the  most  important cultural infrastructures in the world, and its contemporary status in the world is a good criterion for evaluating its privileged quality and a well -designed   context for  its  expansion  and  globalization. One of the prominent features of contemporary Persian poetry is its deep impact on the status quo of the past two centuries. Nima  Yooshij,  one  of  the  biggest  names  in contemporary  Persian poetry  and  the  creator  of  its  modern  form,  has done  his  social  duties  to perfection. This study will discuss the motifs of   nature, society, contemplating the past and freedom in excerpts from some of Nima’s most noted poems.
