Analysis of Salary Cap Rules In Iranian Professional Football League

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to Analysis of salary cap rules in Iranian professional football league. Statistical population of research was all managers, coaches and players that participate in professional football league of Iran in 5 recent years and there was estimated about 600 persons. 210 subjects were selected based on Kerjcy and Morgan table. The research method was descriptive and done by researcher made questionnaire that had 43 questions about salary cap rules with 5 options from absolutely agree (5) to absolutely disagree (1). 180 questionnaires were received from subjects completely. Data analysis was done by Factor Analysis and Freidman’s test. Results showed that there were no agreement on salary cap rules for players (M=2.35) and Coaches (M=2.46). The subjects Showed most agreement in case of players and Coaches dissatisfactions from salary cap rules (M=4.19) and increase transfers of players to Arabian Leagues (M=4.13). The subjects believe that the salary cap rules was not successful in previous season (M=1.98).
