Effectiveness of Dialectic Behavior Therapy on Marital Burnout and marital attachment of The Employees with Work-Family Conflict
Conflicts between work and family cause serious damage to a person's family and professional performance. According to this the present study was conducted aiming to determine the effectiveness of dialectic behavior therapy on marital burnout and marital attachment of the employees with work-family conflict.
It was a quasi-experimental study with pretest, posttest design with control group and two-month follow-up stage. The statistical population included the employees with work-family conflict at Iran Khodro Company (Tehran) in the autumn and winter of 2019-20. 30 employees with work-family conflict were selected through purposive sampling method and they were randomly replaced into experimental and control groups (each group of 15 employees. The experimental group was undergone 10 sessions of dialectic behavior therapy (Linhan, 2004). Work-family conflict questionnaire (Carlson et.al, 2000), marital burnout and questionnaire (Pines, 1996) and marital attachment questionnaire (Bartholomew, 1998) were used in the present study. The data from the study were analyzed through repeated measurement ANOVA via SPSS23 software.
The results showed that dialectic behavior therapy has had significant effect on marital burnout (p<0.001) and marital attachment (p<0.001) of the employees with work- family conflict in a way that this therapy could lead to the decrase marital burnout and improvement of marital burnout and marital attachment of the employees.
