Effectiveness of Culture-based Anti-Bullying Program on Self-efficacy in Interacting with Peers and Empathy in Female Bully Students
The aim of the current research was to study the effectiveness of culture based bullying prevention program on self-efficacy in peer interaction and empathy in female's bully students. The research design was a semi-experimental pre-test and post-test with a control group. The statistical population included bully female's students in 2021-2022 of Tabriz city. The statistical sample was 28 female students from sixth to eight grades, 14 of whom were randomly assigned to the control group and 14 to the experimental group. The culture based bullying prevention program was carry out in 8 training sessions for the experimental group. Ilinois bullying scale, Children’s Self-Efficacy for peer interaction and adolescent measure of empathy inventories were used to collect the data in the pre- and post-test. Multivariate covariance analysis revealed that The culture based bullying prevention program had a significant effect on the Empathy. But It doesn’t effect on Self-efficacy in peer interaction.Despite the effectiveness of the culture-based bullying program on empathy, this condition was not observed for self-efficacy in interacting with peers. In Iran, for the effectiveness and maintains of the interventions, it is not recommended to avoid monotonous models and provide comprehensive psychological and social interventions to support this group of students.
