Greek refugees in the Achaemenid court (from founding to the fall of the empire)

After the establishment of the Achaemenid dynasty and the expansion of its territory, the imperial confluence with the governments of that day took on a new shape. The growing importance of the empire Given the prospect of expansionism and the discovery of new lands for the economic management of the territory, the approach of relations with the government-cities of Asia Minor entered a new phase. A noteworthy point in these considerations, apart from the importance and protectionist power of the Achaemenid state, is that important Greek personalities sought refuge in Iran to regain their lost prestige. At this point we see that some of these people were bloody enemies of the Achaemenid dynasty that the Achaemenid kings, due to the approach and political considerations for the expansion of the imperial territory, refrained from destroying them to take advantage of future government events. The present study intends to analyze the question of the role and position of Greek refugees in the Achaemenid court and what effect it had on the relations between Iran and Greece with a descriptive-analytical method.
