Decision about outsourcing of human resource transportation in a military-enforcement organization

Abstract:
Background and Aim

One of the ways to reduce the costs of running organizations is to outsource non-line activities. Many organizations outsource support and logistics activities to get rid of unnecessary issues and margins. In this study, researchers seek to answer the question of whether it is better for the defense organization to outsource its manpower transportation services. For this purpose, the factors influencing the decision of manpower transportation outsourcing have been identified.

Method

This research is of descriptive-analytical type and is in the category of applied research and its method is survey. The method of data collection is documentary and field. In this way, first, the factors affecting the decision of staff transportation outsourcing were extracted from the theoretical literature. Then, the extracted model was distributed among 10 academic and professional experts with the help of a questionnaire to obtain a saturated model after validation. After that, the main questionnaire was distributed among 12 experts based on the saturated pattern and the information was analyzed by TOPSIS method. The statistical sample of this research is the personnel related to transportation activities in the readiness and support complexes in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Results

A total of 21 indicators were counted which were organized into 6 components. The main components affecting outsourcing decisions in the transportation of human resources of the studied organization include performance improvement (with 5 indicators), strategic importance (with 3 indicators), structural improvement (with 3 indicators), information protection (with 3 indicators), social capital And there was a relationship (with 4 indicators) and suppliers (with 3 indicators).

Conclusion

Based on the analysis, outsourcing of transportation services is preferable for the organization under study.
