Evaluation of the effectiveness of mindfulness on anger management, marital conflict and quality of life
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness on anger management, marital conflict and quality of life.
The method of this research is quasi-experimental and the design of the control group has been used. For this purpose, a sample of 40 men and women who referred to counseling clinics in Bojnourd were selected and randomly available in two experimental groups (20 people) and control (20 people) by sampling method. To measure mindfulness, from the package written by Bowen, Chaula and Marlat, (2011), to measure anger management from the Spielberger anger control questionnaire, to measure the quality of life from the World Health Organization quality of life questionnaire and to measure conflict from Zakir and Barati (2008) was used. SPSS software version 23 was used to analyze the data.
Findings from covariance test showed that mindfulness training has an effective role in anger management, reducing marital conflict and increasing quality of life.
The findings of the present study indicated that mindfulness training using techniques such as conscious thoughts, emotions and behaviors can be used as an effective method to improve quality of life, reduce anger and marital conflicts.
