The effect of using Naptel simulators and laser pistols on the improvement of shooting skills of police officers, Fateb prevention

improving the quality of shootings during the mission has always been the concern of Faraja officials. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of using Naptel simulators and laser pistols on improving the shooting skills of prevention police officers of Greater Tehran police command.

In terms of purpose, this research is practical and in terms of research method, it is a quasi-experimental research. The statistical population of the research includes 2000 Fateb prevention police employees and the sample size is 60 people, including two test groups of Naptel and laser pistol, in addition to the control group of each group, there are 20 people, and the sampling was done as available. The means of collecting information were library and field test and shooting test based on the standard forms determined in Faraja. The reliability of the instrument was calculated by the test-retest method with the correlation coefficient between the two tests and retests in the Naptel and laser pistol groups equal to 0.963 and 0.856, respectively. To analyze the data, multivariate covariance analysis was used by spss software.

The significance level of covariance analysis regarding the effect of training with laser pistol and Naptel simulator was less than 0.05, so with 95% confidence, there is a difference between the control and experimental groups in the scores of shooting speed and accuracy skills. Also, the average scores of both skills were higher in the laser pistol group than in the Naptel simulator group.

Training with a laser pistol and a Naptel simulator has a significant effect on improving the shooting skills, accuracy and speed of Fatab prevention police officers, and therefore, it is possible to use these simulators in the executive and operational ranks to improve the shooting skills of the officers. Many human and financial losses were prevented.
