LGBT in Iran, Citizens with no rights? A Comprehensive Study on LGBT in Iran: Anaiysing current law, discussing legal rights of LGBT's and way forward
Most of the reports that have been prepared so far about the LGBT community are from people who have currently left Iran and are living in another land, and there is still not much information about the experiences of LGBT people living in Iran. In particular, there is no research about their life and feelings in Iran and how their experiences are influenced by their gender identity, or if there is, this information is very limited. The current research aims to fill this scientific gap about such an important issue. This study is very complex, because it goes beyond a general and simple look at sexual orientation and thoughts related to gender in the private and public sphere of a person's life. In this research, the history of the laws of different countries with different religions regarding the restrictions applied against the rights of LGBT people is discussed. It also examines the various movements of LGBT people in different parts of the world that have been made to confront these laws, and the role of international and human rights organizations in the formulation of laws supporting the rights of LGBT people will be studied, and finally, Iran's internal laws regarding LGBT people will be analyzed.
