Zoning of the Urban Regions of Ahvaz City, Iran, Based on the Social Creativity Effective Factors
The purpose of this research was to prepare a model of the underlying factors of the occurrence of social creativity in the urban environment and zoning the urban areas of Ahvaz city.
This qualitative-quantitative descriptive research was done in 2022 in Ahvaz city, Iran. The literature study of the research field was done using the meta-analysis strategy. After the final version of the questionnaire was approved and prepared, a combination of field method and visits to urban areas was used, as well as measuring the opinions of the citizens of urban areas. The required sample number, which was estimated to be 680 people based on Morgan's table, was selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was done using factor analysis method in SPSS 23 software. The Vicor method was used to weight the status of the examined indicators in each of the urban areas. To zone urban areas in terms of urban creativity, the weights obtained in ArcGIS 10.8 software were added to each area and the final map was prepared.
Place context, general social characteristics, social characteristics of creativity, individual characteristics and economic characteristics were extracted as 5 main dimensions of creativity in urban places. Exploratory factor analysis led to the identification of 13 factors that explained a total of 68.546% of the variance of the questionnaire. Social creativity in regions 1, 2 and 4 was very high (0.8), high (0.7) and high (0.6), respectively. Regions 3 (0.42), 6 (0.4) and 7 (0.5) in terms of the status of social creativity indicators are in average condition, as well as regions 8 and 5 that were, respectively in low (0.3) and very low conditions (0.2).
The status of the factors affecting the occurrence of social creativity in urban areas 5 and 8 of Ahvaz compared to other areas needs special attention. While the situation of these factors in urban areas 1, 2 and 4 of Ahvaz is better than other areas.
