Examining the challenges of economic development and legal reforms in the use of renewable energy

The developments of today's world in the light of the growth of world industrialization, increasing air pollution, limited fossil energy and the right to enjoy a healthy environment reveal the necessity of using renewable energy. The use of new energies reduces air pollution, which is the emphasis of the first generation of human rights, or the right to health. Also, renewable energies can protect a healthy environment for future generations in the form of sustainable development. But what I have followed in this article is Iran's legal system and the existing challenges regarding the use of renewable energy by adapting human environmental concepts with regard to the way energy is consumed in Iran. The method of this research is descriptive-analytical and research data is extracted from books, articles and official statistics from the Ministry of Energy, World Energy Organization and other related institutions.What was obtained as a result of this research is the weakness of legislative and executive mechanisms in Iran regarding the need to use renewable energy due to cheap and easy access to fossil energy without considering its environmental costs. In the end, solutions and suggestions for realizing the widespread use of renewable energy due to its positive effects in reducing environmental pollution have been presented.
